New Brighton Recycled Benches

Recycled plastic waste profiles make benches

TDP Recycled Plastic Profiles

New Brighton Benches

Using recycled plastic profiles from TDP, these purpose built benches bring comfort to the weary, and colour to the promenade in New Brighton.

This installation of memorial benches on Ian Fraser Walk along Marine Promenade in New Brighton was designed and created by Year 12 students from The Mosslands School.

The project was a joint venture involving The Mosslands School and the Wirral Older People’s Parliament with support from Colas and Wirral Council.

Having researched recycled materials that could withstand the elements the students chose TDP’s recycled profiles. These profiles were then used to transform the existing concrete benches into a more comfortable place to sit for visitors.
