Even though TDP is over 27 years old, we still get a buzz from coming to work, knowing that the day can throw all sorts of opportunities at us, and the odd problem. One such question, a few years ago, was could we make a bench out of the recycled plastic material we sold. After a bit of head scratching and lots of hard work we made our first bench. From that humble beginning, we now offer a wide range of outdoor furniture from children’s picnic tables to commemorative benches.
By using recycled plastic waste, we are helping to lower the amount of waste going to landfill and into our oceans each year.
Making our furniture by hand gives us a great sense of achievement, and for everyone at TDP one of the most enjoyable aspects is hearing from customers who comment on our products and service.
From your first contact with us, to taking delivery, we want the whole experience to be both enjoyable and stress free. To help you reach a level of confidence in us to place an order, we try to give as much useful information as possible here on our web site; from what we make the furniture out of, to how we make it. The small videos we present give a good overall feel for the products.
Our pricing is straightforward. The presented price includes VAT, with the net amount also shown on the product page, our delivery cost is added at checkout. More information about pricing and delivery can be found on our navigation bar Prices & Delivery.
You can do all your research and order on the web site but if you are not sure of any aspect or just prefer to talk to someone, then please call us. If you are local or fancy a trip out then please visit our factory showroom.
Our main aim is to provide you with a piece of furniture that is made with care and attention to detail. We want you to enjoy many years of use and have very little maintenance.
Working in Derbyshire on the edge of the Peak District national park provides tremendous inspiration for outdoor life and many of our products are named after local villages, towns and landmarks. That said we have customers from the Islands and highlands of Scotland, to the tip of Cornwall and The Channel Islands. We have even sent furniture to far-flung corners of the world including a school in Kathmandu! Now that is a hard weather environment for our furniture. Read more about that story here.
