New Boardwalks for Radipole Lake

RSPB – RADIPOLE LAKE NATURE RESERVE

The RSPB Weymouth Wetlands visitor centre and nature reserve at Radipole Lake underwent major improvements during 2012.

These included new boardwalk trails and raised viewing platforms giving bird’s eye views into otherwise hidden areas of reedbeds, and open water.

As part of the improvements the RSPB decided to use TDP’s Recycled Plastic Decking Profiles, because of their long lasting durability and low maintenance.

The decking was used for the Buddleia Trail, a circular boardwalk trail that starts and ends on the main path. It was also used for viewing facilities, including a new raised platform, accessed by a ramp.
