A massive congratulations to Aquabox who celebrated their 30th Anniversary last Friday.
As a proud sponsor, we were delighted to be invited to their celebration along with Mrs Elizabeth Fothergill CBE DL, recently appointed by The Queen as Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the County of Derbyshire.
As a registered charity, Aquabox has distributed more than 110,000 boxes to countries suffering from natural and man-made disasters, providing hundreds of thousands of people in more than 50 countries with safe drinking water.
Their current focus is helping Ukraine, where safe drinking water is already a major issue.
Our Wirksworth seat was donated to Aquabox and the volunteers for a place to rest between making the filters.
To help with the celebrations we made a special Wirksworth bench for the Aquabox team and volunteers to rest on between shifts.
