Being made from recycled plastic ensures this nest box is a cleaner and more hygienic alternative to traditional timber and is easy to maintain. Remove the nesting box from August onwards once the birds have finished using it, then simply hose clean to get rid of fleas and other parasites – there is no need to use disinfectant either as the dense plastic is such that they cannot penetrate the material.

The robust nature of the nest box also makes it a safer option for nesting birds and, as the plastic will not rot, the nest box will look just like new every spring, ready to welcome visitors.

Nest Box Benefits

  • Handmade in rural Derbyshire from recycled plastic
  • Ethical choice for birdlife and the planet
  • Long-lasting and weatherproof – splinter and rot proof

  1. Joanne Hunter – Kintail Birds of Prey

“The bird boxes are of a super quality, strong and robust . And it’s important to us that they are made of recycled material. And they help save lives! They protect the wee birds from woodpecker attacks. The woodpeckers would normally widen the hole in the boxes and eat the young. But this can’t happen, as your boxes are too strong!”
    Joanne.

Kintail Birds of Prey, Argyll offer falconry experiences with native Scottish birds of prey. They house Argyll’s only collection of Scottish native Birds of Prey, set in private grounds overlooking Loch Awe, Scotland’s longest freshwater Loch. They have over 25 birds of prey from the tiny Little Owl to the magnificent Golden Eagle. Well worth a visit!

  2. Paul Spurr

We have just received the two bird nest boxes ordered from you and would like to thank you for packing them so very well, also for your excellent all-round service. We are very pleased with them and think the blue tits will be as well! Many thanks. Paul Spurr
