Hathersage Bowls Club New Benches

TDP 2m Peak seat at Hathersage bowls club in Derbyshire. Made from Recycled plastic waste

Hathersage Bowls Club were looking for replacement benches with memorial plaques as their current timber benches had rotted.
Linda Dyson, a club member, searched the internet looking for suitable replacements and found TDP offering our recycled plastic benches, so she called our sales office to discuss her requirements.

One of the pre-requisites Hathersage club had was to see the products before they purchased, although TDP make our furniture to order, we extended an invitation to our factory, as luck would have it we were making a large order for another customer and had benches made in several styles which would help Hathersage Bowls Club members make their choice.

Having tried out some of the styles we offer, Linda, Liz Rumsey and their husband’s decided on the Peak bench as being the most attractive and comfortable design. They were also pleased with the fact that as the bench was made from recycled plastic waste, there would be no more painting or staining, and would last the club for many years.

Hathersage Bowls Club ordered two of the Peak benches, complete with commemorative plaques, requesting delivery in March 2013 when the committee would be getting the ground ready for the start of the bowling match season.

Access into the site was prohibitive for TDP’s usual hauliers to deliver these benches, so being not far from our factory, we decided to deliver the Peak benches with our own transport. The benches were made, plaques engraved and ready for delivery in March, then came the snow, putting delivery back a few weeks, but now the benches are in pride of place outside the club house overlooking the beautiful bowling green.
