Donating Recycled Plastic Furniture to Thornbridge Estate’s Love Locker Project
We are thrilled to have contributed sustainable recycled plastic outdoor furniture to Thornbridge Estate’s Love Locker Project, a remarkable initiative dedicated to preserving a piece of history. The story gained national news attention when Thornbridge Estate stepped in to save over 40,000 ‘love locks’ from being lost forever. These locks, originally attached to Bakewell Bridge, symbolise countless love stories, and thanks to Thornbridge’s efforts, they are now being safeguarded in a stunning permanent structure known as the Love Locker.

At TDP, we prioritise sustainability. Our eco-friendly outdoor furniture, made entirely from 100% recycled plastic, is the perfect match for a project that values preservation. Our benches and seating will provide a comfortable, durable resting spot for visitors for years to come, without the need for ongoing maintenance.
A Special Touch
Emma had the brilliant idea that when a visitor found their lock, originally placed on the bridge in Bakewell, they could ring the ‘I Found My Lock’ bell inside the Café. To bring this idea to life, Luke, our production director, designed a special mount for the bell, using our recycled profiles in the shape of a heart. This thoughtful addition adds an interactive and meaningful element to the Love Locker, allowing visitors to celebrate their found memories in a unique way.
Love Locker Grand Opening on Valentine’s Day
The Love Locker is set to open at 12 noon on Valentine’s Day, offering visitors a place to reflect and celebrate love in all its forms. If you attend the launch event, you’ll have the opportunity to experience the quality and comfort of our recycled plastic seating.
