Don’t just take our word from it. Sonic, one of our first hedgehog customers, was so pleased with her house that she sent us a video of her moving in!

(Obviously this is a bit of tongue in cheek and came from one of our human customers – but if hedgehogs could order furniture, we’re confident they’d choose TDP)

Why choose a TDP Recycled Plastic hedgehog house?

It will last for generations

All our hedgehog houses are built using recycled plastic – this makes them resistant to all sorts of weather, so they won’t rot or go mouldy. And with the material lasting for decades, it’ll house as many hedgehogs that want to make it their home!

Easy to clean and maintain

After your hedgehog has moved out, the house can easily be hosed clean with water as the dense plastic doesn’t harbour bacteria, making it quick and convenient to maintain (and making ready for the next hedgehog to move in!)

Perfectly safe and sturdy

Recycled plastic makes this, sturdy and hard wearing alternative to traditional wooden houses. The weight will prevent it from being moved by larger animals and it’s narrow tunnel entrance prevents predators from getting in.

Our customers love their furniture. we know you’ll love yours too!

We love hearing from our customers about how they’re enjoying their furniture – we get positive feedback almost every week. We’re not saying this to boast, but because we’re proud of how many of our customers love their furniture, because it means you (well, your hedgehog in this case…) are going to love yours just as much!

We’re often asked…

We use recycled plastic to make our hedgehog houses.

The main benefit of manufacturing hedgehog houses from recycled plastic is that it’s an eco-friendly way to give our spikey friends a home. All the plastic used in our hedgehog houses are recycled from British waste, which actively reduces the amount of non-biodegradable plastic that ends up in landfill.

In most circumstances, our recycled plastic profiles can be worked like traditional building materials such as wood and can be cut, drilled, nailed, screwed, although we’d advise not to make alterations to our hedgehog houses as they are designed (and were tested over a whole year!) to be the optimum size and temperature.

All of our outdoor seating products are hand-built on-demand, so delivery times can vary depending on how busy we are. However, all of our products will show an estimated delivery date when ordering them.

MNope – it’ll arrive complete and ready for move-in!

The material used for our hedgehog houses will not rot or decay, we estimate that our products can last for a minimum of 25 years, and quite easily 50 years (it’s an estimate, because none of our products are over 20 years old yet)

No, they will never require any additional maintenance or up-keep. Just a quick hose wash to clean it between guests.

Wooden equivalents require regular staining and maintenance, and are prone to rotting and becoming fragile over time.

However, due to our houses being made from ultra-durable plastic, this isn’t something you will ever need to worry about.
