We wanted to use a local company and we really liked the sustainability and longevity of TDP’s products.
Relax and enjoy the game at pitchside
We were delighted for the opportunity to be involved in the sponsorship of Derbyshire County Cricket Club where we have provided the seating for a new pitch side seating area, which will help players and spectators relax and enjoy the game.
The new area has been furnished with a selection of TDP’s recycled plastic chairs and recycled plastic tables so that guests can enjoy sitting both out in the sunshine and under cover.
Unveiled at the England Women’s v West Indies game on May 30th 2025, the new TDP area has already been a big hit with the club and its supporters.

Community is really important to us at TDP, and we are delighted to be supporting Derbyshire County Cricket Club with some of our best-selling pieces of furniture.

The club has had wooden benches in the past and unless you treat them very regularly, they fall apart very quickly. Recycled plastic is a much longer-term solution and it’s very sustainable, too.

The new chairs have been kitted out beautifully with cushions in our Derbyshire County Cricket Club blue and we couldn’t be happier with the result – thank you TDP!
Derbyshire County Cricket Club’s new pitch side seating area includes our popular two-seater chairs with table sets, each one of which contains recycled waste from 52,348 plastic bottle tops.
That means that each table set provides a CO2 emission saving that’s the equivalent of 1380 miles driven in an average car – roughly the distance between London and Seville in southern Spain.
